Louis Resnick

RESNICK, Louis Resnick, 95 years of age, of West Hartford, died Saturday, May 30, 2009. He was the husband of the late Gertrude (Dacktor) Resnick. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mollie Resnick. Louis was a US Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Emanuel Synagogue of West Hartford. He leaves his daughter, Linda Nobel and her husband Herbert of Avon; his grandson, Jeffrey Nobel and his wife Cynthia of Avon; three great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Mara and Max Nobel; and his sister, Ethel Gordon of North Bellmore, NY. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his grandson, Michael D. Nobel, by his brother, Isadore Resnick, and by two sisters, Helen Roth and Bessie Levine. Funeral services will be held TODAY, June 1, 2009 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Philip Lazowski officiating. Interment will follow in the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, Wethersfield. Shiva will be observed at the home of his daughter, 2 Cherry Tree Lane., Avon, Monday following the funeral, and Tuesday 4-8 PM.
