Lisbeth ‘Betty’ (Nash) Liebman, 82 years of age, of Old Stage Road, Glastonbury, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Born in Larchmont, NY, she was the daughter of the late Irving and Lillian (Levine) Nash. She was a member of Kol Haverim of Glastonbury. Betty had a warm and caring nature. She was loved and cared about by those who knew her. Her passions included her family, people, her dogs, the Red Sox, UConn basketball, walking, gardening, bridge, square dancing, literature, movies, cooking, and more. Her sense of humor, smile, sensitivity and her great relationship with her children will be missed. She leaves her loving husband of 61 years, Dr. William Liebman; her devoted sons: Michael and his wife Kristin of Laramie, WY, Steven and his wife Donna of Hartford, Jed of Glastonbury; a dedicated daughter Wendy of Manchester; two grandchildren: Adam Liebman of Laramie, WY, and Rachel Cherrington and her husband Charles of Denver, CO; and a great grandson Joel Cherrington. She also leaves her sister, Sally Gelb, wife of Ernest Gelb of West Hartford. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Sanctuary of Kol Haverim, 1079 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury with Rabbi Craig Marantz officiating. Interment will follow in Kol Haverim Cemetery, Jordan Lane Ext., Wethersfield. Betty’s sister Sally will be sitting shiva at 50 Middlebrook Rd., West Hartford, Thursday following the interment until Wednesday morning, May 11, 2011.
