GROSSMAN, Lillian ?Lakie? (Sharasheff) Grossman, 89, of West Hartford, beloved wife for 67 years of Charles Grossman, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Saturday, February 10, 2007 at John Dempsey Hospital, Farmington. Born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Jacob and Dora (Freedman) Sharasheff, she graduated from Hartford Public High School and the Guggenheim School of Dental Hygiene in New York City. She worked for many years with her cousin Dr. Morris Nathan in Collinsville. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel of West Hartford. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Joan Rosenbaum of New York, and Deborah Katz and her husband Alfred Katz of Maryland; granddaughter, Rebecca Katz and her husband Matthew Scharf and great-granddaughter, Olivia Scharf; granddaughter, Emily Katz and Laura Chapman; brother, David G. Sharasheff and his wife Ethel; sister, Harriet Freedman and her husband Arthur; brother-in-law, Harry Grossman; and a caring extended family. She was an avid Scrabble and Bridge player and was involved with a book group for over 35 years. Deeply devoted to family and friends, she will be missed greatly. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Stephen Fuchs officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. A memorial period will be observed at her home, 110 Argyle Avenue, West Hartford, Tuesday following the funeral through 8:00 PM and Wednesday 4:00-8:00 PM.
