Lester Swett

Lester Swett, 94, of West Hartford, beloved husband for 50 years to Alberta Swett, passed away at home on August 12, 2013. Born on June 7, 1919 in New Britain, son of the late Sarah and Meyer Swetchnick, he was raised in New Britain and lived in the Hartford area his entire life. He was always willing to lend a hand to neighbors. Besides his wife, Lester is survived by his daughter Robin; his son Robert; his grandsons, Julian, Justin, and Jordan; his granddaughter Jenelle, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was pre-deceased by three brothers, Theodore, Leonard, and Sidney. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 14, at 1:30, at Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, with burial at Hartford City Lodge Cemetery, Tower Ave., Hartford. A memorial period will be observed at his home through Friday afternoon at 7 Tanglewood Road, West Hartford.
