Leonard "Lenny" (Daniel) Schoolnick

Leonard “Lenny” Daniel Schoolnick, 74, of Newington, CT passed away on Friday, (March 8, 2013). Born in Hartford, CT on January 30, 1939, he was the son of the late Abraham and Fannie Schoolnick. Together with his parents, he owned and operated The Woodbridge Baking Company of Hartford for many years. Recently, he was employed at Shipman & Goodwin LLP in Hartford. He is survived by his sons, Jay of Middletown, Gerald and his daughter-in-law Michelle of Canton, his two grandchildren David and Allison of Stafford Springs and several nieces and nephews. Lenny was predeceased by his sister, Lorraine Hoffman of Kibbutz Shluchot, Israel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 11 in the chapel of Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, CT. Time is to be announced. Interment will follow in the Teferes Israel Synagogue Cemetery, West Hartford. Shiva will be observed on Monday at the home of his son Jay, 190 Carriage Crossing, Middletown, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital .
