Leon (H.) Glazer

GLAZER, Leon H. Glazer, 90 years of age, of Manchester, formerly of Lawler Rd., West Hartford, died Sunday, January 18, 2009. He was the husband of the late Miriam ?Mickey? (Cohen) Glazer. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Hyman L. and Mollie (Cohen) Glazer. He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. Leon was a co-owner of Crest Blueprint Service in Farmington. He was a member of Beth Hillel Synagogue of Bloomfield. He leaves his sons, Richard Glazer, PhD of Miami, FL, and Mark Glazer and his wife Shannon of Cary, NC; his grandchildren, Jason Glazer and Sara Alexander; his great-grandchildren, Abby and Julianna Sutton; and his brother, Harry L. Glazer of Newington. He was predeceased by his brothers, Nathan Glazer and Sol J. Glazer and by his sisters, Emma Katz and Ruth Baver. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with interment in Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery, East Granby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor?s choice.
