Len Schaller

Mr. Len Schaller, of Hartford, Connecticut, born on July 6, 1929 passed away at the age 89 on October 19, 2018. Born in Patterson, New Jersey, to the late Morris and Gussie Schaller. He grew up in Hartford, graduated Weaver High and served in the Air Force. Len brought his new bride, Marilyn Goldberg Schaller from NYC to Hartford. They celebrated 63 years together. He owned and operated Len and Jeff’s Ceramic Tile Installation. Along with his wife Marilyn, Len is survived by his sons, Jeff and Randy; daughter, Cathy; and sister, Cissy Glassman. He is predeceased by his brother, Ruby and Helen Schaller; and sister, Sari and Sid Shane, brother in law Lou Glassman. Up until his passing, Len attended art classes at The University of Hartford Art School. He was also a member of the Bloomfield Art League. His works of art are displayed in the homes of friends and family. He possessed a green thumb and was a voracious reader. Funeral services will be officiated by Rabbi Yitzchok Adler, on Monday, October 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford. Burial will follow at Teferes Israel Cemetery, 80 Wolcott Rd, East Granby, Connecticut. Shiva will be held from Monday to Wednesday at Len’s home. In lieu of cards donations may be made to the University of Hartford Art School or the charity of the donor’s choice.
