Lawrence "Larry" Wasserman

Lawrence “Larry” Wasserman of West Hartford, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Susan Korduner Wasserman. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Abraham and Rose (Smilowitz) Wasserman. Larry attended Hartford public schools and was a member of the Emanuel Synagogue where he was a past president of the Brotherhood. Larry worked in sales his entire life and worked for People’s Products at the time of his death. Besides his wife, he leaves his beloved daughter Toby, sister Bee Gold, sister-in-law Marian Wasserman, in-laws Stanley and Dianne Berry and Michael and Raye Cohan, numerous nieces and nephews, and Ronald Wasserman and Jody Lukens. He was predeceased by his brothers Sidney Wasserman and Frank Wasserman. He will be missed by his many friends, particularly his life long friends Mike and Roz Gassner. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi David J. Small officiating. Interment will follow in the United Synagogues of Greater Hartford Memorial Park, Wethersfield. A memorial period will be observed at his home, 77 Northbrook Dr., West Hartford until Friday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Cancer Center, c/o Dr. Peter Tutschka, 95 Woodland St., Hartford 06105, or the Emanuel Synagogue, 160 Mohegan Dr., West Hartford.
