L. Barry Shechtman

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barry Shechtman on April 28th, 2024. He was born in Hartford CT on April 16th 1937, to Allen & Jean (Bernstein) Shechtman. Barry was a graduate of Mount Herman Preparatory School & Trinity College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Professionally, Barry owned & operated Springfield Mack Inc., a commercial truck distributorship, for 50 years. Barry is survived by his wife Joyce, of 56 years, his devoted son Alan; brothers’ Richard (Shelia) Shechtman and Ronald (Lynne) Shechtman; sisters-in-law Elaine & Diane Halloran; nieces Kimberly Halloran and Rachel & Jenny Shechtman; nephew Jonathan (Katherine) Shechtman; great niece Leigh Shechtman; great nephew Bennett Shechtman. Burial was held privately.
