Julia (Kaskowitz) Ziff

Julia (Kaskowitz) Ziff, 102, widow Samuel Ziff, died Tuesday (August 25, 2009). She was a member of the Hebrew Home and Hospital, an active volunteer at the Jewish Community Center and Brittany Farms Convalescent Home, and was a member of the Choraleers at the Jewish Community Center for many years, was also a member of Center Stage at the Jewish Community Center. She is survived by a son, George Ziff and his wife Dolores of Watertown; a daughter, Roberta Bitel and her husband Robert of Plainville; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery, Wolcott Rd., East Granby. A memorial period will be observed at the home of her daughter, 38 Fleetwood Rd., Plainville through Sunday.
