Jessie Sadofsky Rosenthal, of West Hartford died peacefully on Monday January 11th, 2010. She was the widow of Myron ?Buster? Rosenthal. Jessie was born in Vernon, and was a life long resident of Hartford/West Hartford. She worked at the Postal Telegraph office for many years, then with her husband at Buster?s Luncheonette, and became the office manager for the Harris Adelberg Insurance Agency. She was a life member of Hadassah where she served as the Treasurer and a long time member of the Emanuel Synagogue, West Hartford, where she was an active member in Sisterhood and the Minyonaires. In her later years, she enjoyed attending classes at Capital Community College, shows at the Hartford Stage, and was an active member of the JCC Seniors. She is survived by her daughter Ann, of Jamaica Plain, MA; her son Steven, daughter- in- law Carol and granddaughters Sara and Lauren of Fairfax, VA; her sister Helen Mehlman of West Hartford; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lillian Goldberg and Miriam Sherman. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Wednesday, January 13th at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford. Interment will follow in the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, Wethersfield.
