Jessie (Patursky) Iger

Jessie (Patursky) Iger, 102, of West Hartford, formerly of Queens, NY, died Monday, February 15, 2010. She leaves two sons: Howard Iger M.D. and his wife Lenore of Bloomfield, and Robert Iger and his wife Christine of Rancho Mirage, CA; and eight grandchildren: Andrea Duarte and her husband David, Russell Iger, Elizabeth Gaufberg M.D. and her husband Slava, Jessica Hecht and her husband Adam Bernstein, Todd Iger, Heather Iger, Denise Iger and Bradley Iger; and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Morris, two brothers and a sister. Jessie was a professional ballroom dancer and teacher who danced her way into her mid-90’s and then retired to Connecticut. She was a wonderful woman with warmness and love that touched many people. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery, Farmingdale, L.I., NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Hebrew Home & Hospital, 1 Abrahms Blvd., West Hartford 06117.
