Jean (R. Cohen) Cohen

Jean R. (Cohen) Cohen, 82, of Main Street, South Windsor, wife of the late Charles Cohen, died Sunday, June 11, 2006. Born in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Max and Rachel (Kaufman) Cohen. She was a school crossing guard in Hartford for 20 years. She was a member of the Bess & Paul Sigal Hebrew Academy. She leaves a son, Jack M. Cohen and his wife Lynn of Manchester, a daughter Marcia Kavitsky of Bloomfield; three grandchildren: Tammie Ellin and her husband Gary, Rachel Blum and her husband Matthew, and Michael Kavitsky; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Anne Lieberman of West Hartford. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 2:30 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Joseph Eisenbach officiating. Interment will follow in the Wolkowysker Society Cemetery, Hartford. A memorial period will be observed through Sunday night at the home of her son, 272 Kennedy Rd., Manchester.
