Jack Bernard Jacobs, 81, of Stuart, FL, formerly of Bloomfield and Granby, died Thursday, October 1, 2009. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Samuel and Edna (Schusterman) Jacobs. He was the owner of Able Electric Company of Bloomfield. Jack was a US Air Force veteran and a member of the Boy Scouts of America for over 40 years. He leaves his wife, Ingeborg (Woempner) Jacobs; a daughter Ann Rene Jacobs and her husband Donald Gibson of Stuart, FL; four sons: Howard Jacobs and his wife Emeline of Chester, William Firla and his wife Patti of Monroe, Wolfgang Wueste of Rocky Hill, and Robert Firla and his wife Joanne of Granby;seven grandchildren: Michael, Sharon, Kirsten, Brian, Eric, Heidi, and Juliette; and a great granddaughter Margaret. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Friday, October 2, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with interment in the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, East Granby.
