Isabel (T. Levine) Singer

Isabel T. Levine Singer, 80, of South Windsor, died Saturday, (September 13, 2008), with her family by her side. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband William. She is survived by her children Robert of West Hartford, Don and his wife Valerie of West Simsbury, Debra Friedman and her husband Alan of Avon, Lisa Sandler and her husband Mark, David Singer and his companion Karen Craig of South Windsor, Jonathan and his wife Michelle of South Windsor, her grandchildren Loren Hallett and her husband Jesse, Scott Friedman, Brian Sandler, Michael Sandler, Joshua Singer, Rebecca Singer, Jacob Singer, Olivia Singer and two great grandchildren Alexandra and Morgan Hallett. Isabel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and teacher. She was a teacher for over 26 years and retired from the East Hartford school system in 1989. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 16, 1:30 p.m. at Kneseth Israel Cemetery, Ellington. A memorial period will be observed at the home of Jonathan Singer, 1155 Main St., South Windsor, following the funeral through Wednesday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to 6 North Children’s Hospital of Boston or the Make a Wish Foundation.
