Ira (Jay) Zinkerman

Ira Jay Zinkerman passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Hartford Hospital. Mr. Zinkerman was the son of Shirley and the late Howard Zinkerman. He was a resident of West Hartford for most of his life. Besides his mother, he is survived by his four brothers: Raymond and his wife Shelley and their sons David and Eric of Newington, William and his wife Linda and their daughter Amanda of Newington, Arthur and his wife Kim and son Samuel of Florida, his most cherished brother Robert of West Hartford; his cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Friday, February 3, at 12:30 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Joseph Gopin officiating. Interment will follow in Hartford City Lodge Cemetery, Tower Ave., Hartford. A memorial period will be observed at the home of his brother Raymond, 88 Stagecoach Lane, Newington, on Friday 3-5 PM, Saturday 7-9 PM and on Sunday, 1-4 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
