Ida 'Betty' Treske

TRESKE, Ida “Betty” Ida “Betty” Treske, 100+, a resident of Haborside at the Reservoir in West Hartford, formerly of Bloomfield and Hartford passed Friday (November 7, 2008). Born in Hartford in the early 1900’s. She married Arthur Treske and worked for the State of CT in the Toxicology Lab after he passed away. When she retired in the 70’s, she resumed many of the crafts she enjoyed such as painting, knitting and crocheting. She leaves a daughter Sally Welensky of West Hartford; eight grandchildren: Jay Welensky, Lee Welensky of Bloomfield, Mark Welensky, Sue and John Girouard of West Hartford, Bruce and Joan Treske, Judy Robinson and Gail Treske. She also leaves eight great-grandchildren: Jessica and Brian Kohler, Elissa Girouard, Allen Girouard, Tamara Welensky, Sarah Welensky, Scott Treske, Michael Robinson and Sarah Robinson. She was predeceased by her son Donald Treske; her brother Sam Weinstein; and sister Belle Bendell. Her funeral was held private, attended only by immediate family on Monday, November 10, 2008. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
