Herbert Pasternak

Dr. Herbert Pasternak of Simsbury Road, West Hartford, died Friday, March 26, 2010. Born in Waterbury, he was the son of Ike and Stella (Pollack) Pasternak. He was a US Air Force Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Connecticut, Florida, and American Optometric Association. He was also a past Board member of the Emanuel Synagogue, West Hartford, and past President of the Probus Club of West Hartford. He leaves his wife, Silvia (Davidson) Pasternak; his son, Fred Pasternak and his wife Jane of West Hartford; and three grandchildren: Mathew Pasternak and his wife Gennifer, and Hillary and Brett Pasternak. Graveside funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Hebrew Benefit Cemetery, Waterbury, with Rabbi Philip Lazowski officiating. A memorial period will be observed at the home of his son, 87 Parsons Dr., West Hartford through Monday, 3:00 PM.
