Helen (Vilanskaya) Zager

Helen (Vilanskaya) Zager, 77 years of age, of West Hartford, died Thursday, June 16, 2011. Born in the Ukraine, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Vilanskaya and Hannah Mahlina. She was the person of big soul and warm heart. Helen freely bestowed her warms, wisdom and generosity on all who knew her. She migrated with her family to the United States in 1989. She was a member of the Emanuel Synagogue of West Hartford. She leaves her husband, Yury Zager; two sons, Leon Zager of Farmington, and Mark Zager and his wife Inna Laskova of Hamden; and two brothers, Ruald Vilandskyi and his wife Maria of Moscow, Russia, and Victor Vilandskiy and his wife Sofiya of Minsk, Belarus. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 17, 2011 at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi David J. Small officiating.
