Helen (Himmelblau) Silverton, 86 years of age, of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Bloomfield, died Saturday, May 30, 2009. She was the widow of Leo Silverton. Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Bessie (Levin) Himmelblau. Helen worked in the Personnel Department for the State of Connecticut before she retired. She leaves her daughter, Joan Solomson and her husband Richard of Boynton Beach, FL; her grandson, Marc Solomson and his fiancee Jennifer Wood, of New Port Richey, FL; her sister Rhoda Baron of Boynton Beach, FL; and her dog Lucia. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Stephen Landau officiating. Interment will follow in the Congregation Tikvoh Chadoshoh Cemetery, Windsor. A memorial period will be observed at the home of Harvey Beinstein and Mimi Feltman, 43 Knollwood Rd., West Hartford Wednesday and Thursday evenings, 6-8 PM.
