Harold Knafel

Harold Knafel, 94 years of age, of Ellington Rd., South Windsor, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Jeanette (Lehrer) Knafel. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Anna (Schneeberg) Kafel. Harold was an upholsterer until he retired. He leaves two sons, Irwin A. Knafel of Higganum, and E. Steven Knafel and his wife Sandra of South Windsor; two grandchildren, Glen Knafel and his wife Lisa, and Lori Togo and her husband Claudio; three great-grandchildren, Faith Burns, Max Togo, and Lily Knafel; and his sister, Lillian Shemonsky of East Hartford. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 25, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, Wolcott Rd., East Granby. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
