Harold (H.) Feigenbaum

Harold H. Feigenbaum, 89, of West Hartford, husband of the late Lucille Blum Feigenbaum died on Friday, (April 18, 2008). He was born in New Britain and raised in Hartford, the son of the late Joseph and Bertha (Hochman) Feigenbaum. He was educated at Weaver High School and New York University. He was a World War II veteran of the Army Ordnance Corps, serving at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland and the European Theater of Operations. For many years he was active in the home building industry in Greater Hartford. Following his retirement from the building industry he owned Blum’s Wines and Spirits at Westfarms Mall and was later employed by Hartford Insurance Group. He was a resident of West Hartford since returning from the Army and was a member of Emanuel Synagogue. He is survived by his two sons, Attorney Victor Feigenbaum and his wife, Judith Feigenbaum, and Attorney Barry Feigenbaum and his wife, Lisa Feigenbaum; his grandchildren, Julie, Scott, Melanie and David Feigenbaum, all of West Hartford; his sisters-in-law, Helen Stone and her husband, David Stone, and Bryna Bronstein of New Jersey and his brothers-in-law, Harold Blum of Florida and S. Raymond Blum of Illinois; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Lillian Bergman. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 22, at 10 a.m. at Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi David Small and Cantor Sanford Cohn officiating. Interment will follow the funeral at Beth Alom Cemetery, Allen Street, New Britain. The family will be receiving visitors immediately following the service through Tuesday evening at the home of Barry and Lisa Feigenbaum, 11 Visgrove Lane, West Hartford.
