Hanna (J.) Ticotsky

Hanna J. Ticotsky, 98, beloved wife of the late Samuel Ticotsky, passed away Saturday, (April 5, 2014). Daughter of the late Isadore and Esther Jacobs. Hanna grew up with her brother and sister in Waterbury, moved to New Haven following her marriage to Sam and then to the Hartford area after WWII. Hanna and Sam both worked at Connecticut General and were long active in Beth Hillel Synagogue. They lived many years in Bloomfield and West Hartford. Hanna was an intrigal part of the extended Ticotsky family, her many surviving nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren regard on Hanna with much affection. Hanna was particularly close to her niece Gail Mangs and family. Hanna was a lovely person, thoughtful and considerate of others, and generous and up to date in her outlook. She was open to new experiences throughout her life. She accepted the infirmities of aging with grace and appreciation for her caregivers. A graveside service will be held TODAY at 1 pm at Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery in East Granby. For directions call Weinstein Mortuary at 860-233-2675
