Gilda (Lebon) Lerner, 76 years of age, of Tabor Circle, West Hartford, wife of Robert Lerner, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Frieda (Missal) Lebon. Gilda was a member of Beth El Temple of West Hartford and its Sisterhood; a member of Hadassah; and attained status as a Life Master Bridge Player as a member of the Hartford Bridge Club. She was also a former member of Tumblebrook Country Club, Bloomfield, for over 50 years. Besides her husband, she leaves her son, Andrew Lerner and his wife Theresa of West Hartford, a daughter Ellen Cyr of West Hartford, and five grandchildren: Brett, Billy, Joshua, Trey, and Matthew. The family wishes to thank the nurses at 3 North at the Hebrew Home and Hospital and the nurses of the ICU Unit at St. Francis Hospital for their warmth and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at 9:30 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Interment will follow in the Beth El Temple Cemetery, Avon.
