Gertrude (Schwalbendorf) Sanofsky

Gertrude (Schwalbendorf) Sanofsky, 99 years of age, of Mount Dora, Florida, formerly of West Hartford, CT died Tuesday, March 25, 2014. She was the widow of Jack Sanofsky. Born in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Molly (Pearlbinder) )Schwalbendorf. She was preceded in death by her son Burton Sanofsky. She leaves her daughter Reeva Greenberg and her husband Joe Beauregard of The Villages, Florida, daughter in law Ruth Sanofsky of East Hartford, CT, grandchildren Candice Greenberg and husband Thomas Farquhar, Erwin Sanofsky, Michelle Broniarz and husband Mark Broniarz, great grandchildren Connor, Eleanor, Troy and Sharontina, loving niece Mary Epstein, loving sister in law Jean Sanofsky and many loving nieces and nephews. Through the years Gertrude was active in Beth David Synagogue and Sisterhood, True Sisters, JCRS and Hadassah. Gertrude was a loving wife and mother who worked beside her husband and son in a family business for many years. She enjoyed her home(s) and entertaining family and friends often. She was a wonderful cook always welcoming others around her table. She will be deeply missed by family and friends whose lives she touched. We will cherish her sense of humor, her wisdom, the memories and love she gave to us and she will forever hold a place in our hearts. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 28, 2014 in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, CT 06105 with Rabbi Yitzchok Adler officiating. Interment will follow at Beth David Synagogue Cemetary, 1361 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT. Calling hours will be held after interment at home of Candice Greenberg.
