George (S.H.) Simon

SIMON, George S. H. Simon, 92, of West Hartford died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at the Hebrew Home & Hospital. He was the husband of the late Ida (Robbins) Simon. Born in London, England, he was the son of the late Walter and Edith (Abrahams) Simon. He was a Royal Air Force veteran of World War II. Mr. Simon was a furrier before he retired. He leaves three sons, Kenneth W. Simon and his wife Pamela of West Hartford, Melvin A. Simon and his wife Carrie of West Hartford, and Chester F. Simon of Manhasset, NY; and six grandchildren: Elena, Danielle, Kira, Talia, Tobi and Elise. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 11, 2005 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford with Rabbi David Small officiating. Interment will follow in the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, Wethersfield. Shiva will be observed at the home of his son, Melvin A. Simon, 26 Winterset Lane, West Hartford.
