Frank Benchetrit

Frank Benchetrit, 91 years of age, of West Hartford died Saturday, February 17, 2018. He was the husband of the late Laura (Benidam) Benchetrit. Born in Tangier, Morocco, he was the son of the late David Benchetrit. Frank and Laura met in Tangiers in 1947 and married in 1951. They resided in Argentina and then Israel. In 1970 they moved with their five daughters to West Hartford He is survived by five loving daughters; Sima and her husband Stanley Tashman of Shelton, Rachel and her husband Shalom Lemel of Woodbridge, Gila B. Cohen of West Hartford, Esther B. Kerzner of West Hartford and Terri and her husband Ed Weber of Farmington, 12 cherished grandchildren; David, Dorit, Deborah, Debbie, Pauline, Erica, Jonathan, Jessica, Jennifer, Jacob, Michael and David and twelve great-grandchildren; Daniel, Benjamin, Brayden, Lily, Emma, Max, Davis, Jagger, Shyloh, Jaxon, Phoenix, and Beau.

Funeral service will be graveside at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11:00 with Rabbi David J. Small officiating at the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, 1361 Berlin Tnpk., Wethersfield (intersection of Jordan Lane and Berlin Tnpk.). Following interment the family will receive relatives and friends at 9 Fulton Place, West Hartford. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
