DAVIS, Francine C. (Swirsky) Davis, 70, of Enfield, CT died Monday, November 10, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT, after a courageous six year battle with lung cancer. She was the widow of Edward C. Davis. Born in The Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Lillian (Poretz) Swirsky. She lived in Glens Falls, NY for most of her childhood before moving to CT. Francine worked for the former Loring Studios in Hartford, CT and for Levy & Droney in Farmington, CT. She also worked for the Manchester Eighth Utility District until she retired. She was a member of Congregation Shaaray Tefilah in Glens Falls, NY. She leaves a son, John G. Kirkpatrick and his wife Elisabeth of Fairfax, VT; a daughter, Elizabeth Clauson and her husband Clifford of East Hartford, CT; and four grandchildren, Sarah and Rachel Clauson, and Michael and Lillian Kirkpatrick. She was predeceased by her brother, Mark D. Swirsky. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors and staff at St. Francis Hospital and the Hospital?s Cancer Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, CT. Interment will be on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 11:30 am in Congregation Shaaray Tefilah Cemetery, Queensbury, NY.
