Frances Chatkin Novar, 103, of West Hartford passed away peacefully on March 4, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Nathan Novar who passed away 25 years ago on March 2nd. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice Chatkin, Frances lived in her home for the majority of her life. Despite the tragic loss of her young siblings, David and Jeannette, her husband Nathan’s premature death and the passing of her brother Milton whom she loved dearly, Frances inspired those around her with her kindness and positive attitude. She was fortunate to have the love and support of her family, dear and longtime friends, neighbors and caregivers who helped her maintain her independence. Frances was a devoted member of Congregation Beth Israel for many years. Frances was the honorary matriarch of the Spector family who loved and cared for her until her death. Special thanks to friends and neighbors for their welcoming visits, especially the Misczuk Family for all their years of helpfulness and friendship.
A graveside service will be held TODAY at 12:00pm at the Brahilover Benevelent Association Cemetery, 300 Cleveland Avenue, Hartford. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
