Frances (Winkler) Markowitz

MARKOWITZ, Frances (Winkler) Markowitz, of Simsbury Rd., West Hartford, widow of Raymond Markowitz, died Friday (July 17, 2009) She was a life member of Hadassah. She is survived by a son, David Markowitz and his wife Susan of Canton; a daughter, Gail Glick and her husband Herbert, West Hartford; a brother, Charles Winkler of Pompano Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Alisa Glick Trachtenberg, Adam Glick, Jeremy Glick, Seth Markowitz, Ally Markowitz; and a great grandson, Daniel Trachtenberg. Funeral services will be TODAY at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., with interment in Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation Cemetery, Avon with Rabbi Howard Herman officiating. A memorial period will be observed at the home of her son, 14 High Hill Road, Canton, TODAY following the funeral and Monday at the home of her daughter, 26 Beacon Hill Dr., West Hartford.
