Frances Dobrovolsky, 89, of Ivory Rd., Bloomfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 28, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by her family. Born December 12, 1920 in Holyoke, MA, she was the daughter of the late Hyman and Anna (Wolf) Dobrovolsky. She was a member of Beth Hillel Synagogue, Bloomfield. Her career in the retail field began at the age of 25 when she moved to Hartford. She was employed at the former G. Fox & Company in Hartford for over 25 years. She leaves to mourn, nephew and niece Alan and Marilyn Goodman, great niece Lindsay Goodman, nephew Stephen Goodman, her great niece and nephew Kristie and Kyle Griswold, and great great niece Alexis Griswold. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Sylvia Goodman, brother-in-law Morris Goodman, with whom she made her home, brother Harry Dobrovolsky, and niece Maryann Goodman. A special thank you to the staff on 7-1 at St. Francis Hospital for their compassion and care given to Frances during her stay. A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 12:00 Noon in the Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery, Wolcott Rd., East Granby. A memorial period will be observed on Wednesday following the funeral through Thursday at her home.
