Florence (Meister) Nurin

Florence (Meister) Schwartz Nurin, 92 years of age, of Los Angeles, CA, formerly of Pompano Beach, FL, Stratford and West Hartford, CT, died on Tuesday evening, June 30, 2015.

She was the widow of Bernard E. Schwartz and Henry E. Nurin. Born in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late William and Bessie Meister. She graduated from Weaver High School in Hartford.

She leaves her son, Steven B. Schwartz and his wife Jan Moidel Schwartz of Wellesley, MA; daughter, Judith Stalk and her partner, Paul Fisher, of Westchester, CA; and three grandchildren, Erica Lyn Schwartz, and Sarah and Marc Stalk. She was predeceased by her brother, Daniel Meister.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Fairview Cemetery, 200 Whitman Rd., West Hartford, CT, with Rabbi David J. Small of the Emanuel Synagogue officiating.

Shiva will be at the home of Steven and Jan Schwartz, beginning Monday, July 6, and continuing through Thursday, July 9, 1-4pm and 7-9pm, with minyan each evening at 7:30pm.
