Florence (Beresky) Hoberman

HOBERMAN, Florence (Beresky) Hoberman, 86, of West Hartford, died Thursday, April 13, 2006. Born in Denver, Colorado, she had lived in the Hartford area since attending and graduating from Weaver High School. As the widow of Maxwell Hoberman who died in 1981, she was a devoted mother to Diane Phillips of Milwaukie, Oregon and to Judith Hoberman of Riverview, Florida and a loving grandmother to Lisa Moore of Milwaukie, Oregon. Her sisters Margaret Sacher and Leonore Krupnikoff predeceased her. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends who cared about her. She enjoyed entertaining and engaging others in invigorating conversations and always remembered special occasions with personal messages and baked treats. Her thoughtfulness and generosity extended to her volunteer service, including tutoring of elementary school children. She enjoyed adventure, whether in reading good books or traveling to new places. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 17th, at 11:00 AM at Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield.
