Florence (Greenberg) Gold

Florence (Greenberg) Gold, 95 years of age, of West Hartford, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012. She was the widow of Herman ‘Hy’ Gold. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Nora (Glantz) Greenberg. She leaves three sons, Burton Gold and his wife Elaine of New London, Richard Gold and his wife Roz of Gloucester, MA, and Ira Gold and his wife Leigh of West Hartford; her sister Charlotte Greenberg of West Hartford; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Piaterer Verein Society Cemetery, Jordan Lane Ext., Wethersfield with Rabbi David J. Small officiating. A memorial period will be observed Friday following the interment through Sunday evening at the home of her son Ira Gold, 48 Carlyle Rd., West Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
