Fay (Marian) Zern

ZERN, Fay Marian (Koshar) Zern, of West Hartford, formerly of Lauderhill, FL, died Sunday, February 28, 2010. She was the widow of Albert Zern and Boas Sonabend. Born in Fall River, MA she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Sarah (Lubov) Koshar. She leaves two sons, Howard R. Zern and his wife Hilary Freedman of West Hartford, and Barry K. Zern and his wife Susan Swartz of Birmingham, AL; and three grandchildren, Abigail M. Zern, Stephanie and Caroline Swartz-Zern. Funeral services will be held TODAY, March 2, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Interment will follow in the New Mount Carmel Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. A memorial period will be observed at the home of her son, Howard R. Zern, Tuesday 7-9 PM, and Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
