Evelyn (Schupack) Tobias, 76, a lifelong resident of Hartford and Simsbury, beloved wife of Walter Tobias, died Sunday (March 4, 2012) at home. She was born on November 26, 1935 in Hartford, daughter of the late Jack and Esther (Miller) Schupack. She was a member of the 1953 graduating class of Bulkeley High School. She was predeceased by her sister Pauline Davis. The family expresses its deep appreciation to the McLean Home staff for all their care and devotion. Funeral service and burial will be held on Wednesday, March 7 at 1 p.m. at The Hartford Mutual Cemetery, 15 Wolcott Rd., East Granby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McLean Home, 75 Great Pond Road in Simsbury. A celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held at the home of her husband Walter, 12 Springbrook Lane, Simsbury, immediately following the service until 8 p.m.
