Evelyn Sherry

Evelyn Sherry, 92, of Ocean Avenue, West Haven, formerly of West Hartford, died Thursday, October 20, 2005. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Myer and Sarah (Feldstein) Sherry. She was a former member of Beth David Synagogue, West Hartford, a Life Member of Hadassah, a member of the American Jewish Congress, and of the AMC Cancer Research Center. She leaves two nieces: Susan Burstein and her husband Herbert, Marjorie Weber and her husband Charney; a nephew: Michael Osber and his wife Lynn; two grandnephews and a grandniece. She was predeceased by two brothers: Harold and Israel Sherry, and her sister Pearl Osber. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2005 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford with interment in the Teferes Israel Cemetery, Merline Ave., West Hartford.
