Evelyn Harris

Evelyn Harris, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacfully on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the age of 86. Evelyn was born in Boston to Henry and Dorothy Perlmuter. She graduated from Boston Girls' Latin School, Boston University and Hebrew Teachers College. Evelyn was a longtime real estate agent in the Hartford area, most recently with Re/Max Realty. She leaves behind her husband Bob, her brother Lawrence Perlmuter of Chicago, daughters Gayle Harris of West Hartford, and Marsha (Cary) Friedman of Passaic,New Jersey, sons Henry Harris of Palm Springs, California, and Ben (Yona) Harris of Pawlet,Vermont. She wa predeceased by her daughter Judith (Roni) Sinai of Teaneck,New Jersey. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.  Donations may be made in her memory to the New England Jewish Academy or the Young Israel of West Hartford.
