Eunice (J.) Gordon

Eunice J. (Abramhoff) Gordon, 95 years of age, of Newington, CT, passed away on Sunday, after a courageous battle with cancer on August 26, 2018. She was the beloved wife of 54 years to the late Joseph L. Gordon. Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Leah Abramhoff. Eunice was an active member of Temple Sinai Synagogue and Sisterhood. Eunice’s passions included reading, bridge, performing arts, and gardening. However, none were more important to her than her family and friends. Eunice is survived by her son, Douglas M. Gordon of West Hartford CT; her daughter, Nancy R Kelly of Wakefield, MA; her two grandchildren, Matthew Kelly and wife Jennifer, Lauren Kelly, and her two beloved great-grandchildren Shoshana and Levi Kelly. In addition to her husband, Eunice was predeceased by her younger sister Emily Rothenberg. The Gordon family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff, nurses, and the wonderful special aids at Atria Hamilton Heights.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 30, 2018 in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave, Hartford, CT with Rabbi Jeffrey Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Temple Sinai Memorial Park. Immediately following the interment, the family will receive relatives and friends.
