Esther Kershenbaum

Esther Kershenbaum, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Hebrew Home & Hospital, West Hartford. She was born in Poland coming to America as a small child. Esther was the daughter of Benny and Eva Kershenbaum. She leaves two sisters: Bertha Sargent of Farmington and Norma Laschever of West Hartford. She was predeceased by three brothers: George, Paul and Charles. She also leaves her sisters-in-law: Irene Balaban of Manchester and Sara Kershenbaum of Fairfield; and many nieces and nephews. Esther was an employee of Cigna for 35 years and the Jewish Ledger for many years. She was a kind and considerate person and will be greatly missed. A graveside funeral service will be held TODAY, WEDNESDAY, JULY 27, 2011 at the Beth Israel Cemetery, 27 Jackson St., Avon.
