Esther (Sosin) Baran

Esther Baran,100, of Parsons Drive, West Hartford passed Tuesday, July 3, 2018. Born in Hartford, CT she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Yetta (Leibowitz) Sosin. She leaves a daughter, Marcia Baran, of West Hartford, a son Richard (Carol) of Vienna, VA, two grandchildren, Lauren Lang (Brian), of Bethesda, MD and Brian Baran (Emily) of Washington, DC. Three great grandchildren, Jacob Allan Lang, Lucas Spencer Lang and Matthew Paul Baran. Survived by two brothers, William Sosin of Bensalem, PA, Gershon Sosin(Jean) of Bloomfield , CT and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 at 1 PM at the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetary, East Granby. A memorial period will be observed Friday at 5 Latimer Lane, Bloomfield, CT from 3-7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to The Jewish Federation of West Hartford at www.jewishfederation.org (donate) or Dress for Success at www.dressforsuccess.org (donate). Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
