Elynore (Rhoda Sigmond) Shapiro

Elynore Rhoda (Sigmond) Shapiro of West Hartford passed away peacefully on January 2, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Born January 6, 1927 to Harry and Esther Sigmond, she was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Harold M. Shapiro, and her eldest son Mitchell M. Shapiro. She is survived by two sons: Leigh H. Shapiro and his wife Malena of West Hartford, and Scott B. Shapiro of Simsbury; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and her brother Alan Sigman. She was employed by the University of Hartford for 33 years. She was a devoted wife, and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A memorial service will he held on, Sunday January 6 at 1 p.m. at the home of her son at 18 Nursery Dr. in West Hartford CT. Elynore (Granma) will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
