Elaine (Wachtel) Winer

Elaine (Wachtel) Winer, 89 years of age, of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of West Hartford, CT, passed away peacefully at her home on September 21, 2012. Born in New York City she was the daughter of the late Irving and Sadie (Richman) Wachtel. While living in West Hartford, Elaine was an active member of Beth David Synagogue and a volunteer at Federation Housing. She and her beloved husband Sam (deceased) were co-presidents of the Beth David Synagogue Couple’s Club. She leaves her daughter, Shelley Teitelbaum (Marty); her son, Marty Winer (Linda), all of Boca Raton, FL. She was predeceased by her son Cary Winer. She also leaves six grandchildren: Jason (Angela) Kahan, Dana (Matt) Levy, Farren (Madeline) Kahan, Joshua Winer, Gordon Winer, and Lindsey Winer; and 5 great-grandchildren: Steven and Connor Levy, Stella, Asher, and Eli Kahan. Funeral services will be held graveside at the Beth David Synagogue Cemetery, 1361 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT on Friday, September 28 at 10:00 AM with Rabbi Yitzchok Adler officiating. A memorial period will be observed at the home of Martin Winer in Boca Raton, FL Saturday 7:30 PM and Sunday 12:00 -7:00 PM.
