Edith (Koplowitz) Uffer , 79, of Henley Way, West Hartford, died Thursday, May 22, 2008. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Yetta (Kuperstock) Koplowitz. She leaves her husband, Maxwell Uffer, a son Michael Uffer and his wife Debra Salomon of Brooklyn, NY; a daughter Susan Clancy and her husband Brian of Simsbury; three grandchildren: Elena Salomon Uffer, and Brendan and Jonah Clancy; and two brothers: David Kurland of Englewood, NJ, and Daniel I. Koplowitz and his wife Beatrice of Queens, NY. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Friday, May 23, 2008 at 12:00 Noon in the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, Wolcott Rd., East Granby. A Memorial Period will be observed at the home of her daughter, Susan Clancy, 24 Pine Glen Road, Simsbury, through Sunday evening.
