Dorothy (Goldberg) Merin

Dorothy (Goldberg) Merin, 89 years of age, of West Hartford, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late David Merin. Born in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ethel (Fisher) Goldberg. She was a life member of Womens American ORT. Dorothy leaves her son, Mark Merin of Bloomfield, CT; her daughter Michele Merin-Campbell and her husband Bruce Campbell of Solon, OH. Her adoring grandchildren Jonathan ( Andrea ) Merin, Carly Merin , Seth Merin ,Lindsay Merin,Lane Campbell and fiance Leigh Ann Janish , Elyssa (Josh)Benedikt, Eric(Rachel) Merin, and Abby Merin , her great-granddaughter Eliana Merin ; as well as Sheila Knaple who was a special companion to our mom in the last several years. In addition to her husband, Dorothy was predeceased by her son Ronny, and daughter in law Ilene.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 24, 2017 in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, CT with Cantor Sanford Cohn officiating. Interment will follow in the Congregation Bnai Tikvoh Shalom Cemetery , 10 Clubhouse Road, Windsor, CT. Following the interment, the family will receive relatives and friends at St Marys Home East 2 dining room , 291 Steele Rd West Hartford Friday . Sat 7-9 pm , Sun 11-2 in the auditorium on main floor.
