Doris (Margolis) Rose

Doris (Margolis) Rose of Avon, formerly of West Hartford, widow of Abraham Rose, died Thursday, February 10, 2011. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Margolis. She was the beloved mother of Sandra Jacobus of Canton; aunt of Andrea Kurtz, and great aunt of Jodi Kurtz and her husband Luke McCullough and of Allison Kurtz, all of Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her brother Julius Margolis and by her sister Mollye Weintraub Gore. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. in the John Hay Memorial Park Cemetery, 999 Garden St., Hartford, with Rabbi Stephen Landau officiating.
