Diane (Eisenstein) Guthart of Newington, Connecticut, wonderful wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the age of 73. Diane was the loving wife of Frederick. Born and raised in Middletown, she was the oldest of the two daughters of the late Bernard and Emma (Freedman) Eisenstein.

Diane was an employee at People’s Bank for over 30 years, where she was a manager at the Financial Plaza branch. She loved to bake, host dinner parties, read, and will be remembered fondly by many for her lovely blankets she sewed as well as her delicious chopped liver and streudel.

Besides her husband, she leaves her daughter, Neeli Mann and her husband Dr. Douglas Mann of Cherry Hill, NJ; her two grandchildren, Aaron and Addi Mann, her sister, Myra and her husband David Finkelstein of Portland, CT; her brother-in-law, Leonard Guthart of Newington, CT; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Interment will follow in Beth El Temple Cemetery, Jackson St. Ext., Avon. Following the interment the family will receive relatives and friends at Diane and Fred’s home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the American Cancer Society or the American Parkinson Disease Association.
