Deborah (Fox) Fine, 62, of Gordon Dr., South Windsor, wife of Harvey Fine, died Monday (April 30, 2007). Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Shirley (Asterkin) Fox. She was a member of the South Windsor Town Council for the past ten years, a member of the South Windsor Democratic Town Committee; a leader in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in South Windsor; and a member of ORT. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed conversing with the players when she picked them up at the airport to take them to local functions. She also loved boating and enjoyed spending weekends on their boat. Besides her husband, she leaves a son Scott Fine and his wife Donnamae Fine of South Windsor; a daughter Diane Dickman and her husband Jonathan of Yuba City, CA; two brothers, Richard Fox of West Hartford and David Fox of San Diego, CA; a sister Marcia Frankel of Nashua, NH; four grandchildren, Noah and Jonah Fine and Samantha and Benjamin Dickman; an uncle Mel Asterkin; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marlene Fine. The family wishes to thank Laurie and Chris for their care and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 2 at 12 Noon in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Jeffrey Glickman officiating. Interment will follow in the John Hay Memorial Park, Garden St., Hartford. A memorial period will be observed at her home through Friday.
