David Swede

David Swede passed away on March 24, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Beloved husband of Lola for 65 years, loving father of Renata Lantos (Joseph) of Portland, Helen Swede of West Hartford, Sari Swede (Neil Grossman) of Arcata, CA, and Marci Swede (Bruce Taillon) of Middletown. Survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Holocaust Survivor and Captain in the Israeli Army 1949-1952. Pre-deceased by parents Moshe and Ryfka, brothers Samuel and Hersh, and several sibings who perished in the Holocaust. Graveside services Tuesday, 1 p.m., at Congregation Beth Israel Cemetery, 100 Jackson Road, Avon, CT. Visiting hours and Shiva Service for family and friends at the Swede residence in West Hartford.
