David Rosenblatt, 93, of West Hartford died Thursday, July 6, 2006. Born in Hartford, he was a life long resident of this area. He graduated from Weaver High School, class of 1930. He was a retired furniture salesman and was formerly associated with Nassau Furniture Stores. He was a Life Member of John Hay Lodge No. 61, Knights of Pythias, and a Past Chancellor Commander of the John Hay Lodge. He leave his wife, Gertrude (Jacobs) Rosenblatt and two daughters: Sheila Glassman and her husband, Harvey of Bloomfield, and Carole Jorgensen and her husband Donald of Windsor; two grandsons: James Glassman and his wife Susan of East Granby, and Lee Glassman and his wife Irene of West Hartford; five great grandchildren: Anna, Jeffrey, Robert, Adam and Matthew Glassman, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2006 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford. Interment will follow in the Beth Hillel Memorial Park, East Granby. A Memorial period will be observed at Summerwood following the funeral until 3:30 PM. The family wishes to thank Rena for her care and compassion and her special relationship with our father.
